2018 goals for the club

There has been a major change in motocross in general this past year with the purchase of CMRC by Jetwerx who put on the professional national races and also governs the provincial racing. It would take too long to go in to the details of why Regina could not be on Pro National schedule for 2018 but we will not be hosting a national race this year. We believe we will be back hosting a national race in 2019.

With that we turn our cup around and it is half full now and we see this as a great opportunity to put that time and effort in to improving our facility. Listed below are some of the specific tasks the executive have identified that all of us as a club should try to accomplish or work towards and hopefully you as a member can contribute throughout the year while we continue to improve our facility.

Tasks and Objectives

  • Improve/replace perimeter fencing – need fencing materials, post pounder and people to help put it up/repair it
  • Add second gate to alternate access north of existing gate
  • Replace existing tunnel – we will need equipment and general help
  • Complete finish line viewing tower – we will need electricians, Ironworkers, welders, painters, anybody willing to help
  • New play structure – will need sand or pea gravel as well as some chain link fencing
  • Add bleachers and improve viewing areas – need bleachers, picnic tables etc.
  • Adding compostable materials to the main track – need trucking, possibly equipment to load
  • Removal of rocks and debris around track – General help in spring and throughout year
  • Increase membership – this is up to us all, encourage other riders to try out the facility and bring them to ride nights, BBQs, events at the facility
  • Expand existing water system – if you have plumbing or irrigation experience and are interested in helping contact Dave Pilsner (contact info attached)
  • Any other ideas or things you can offer are welcome – Contact a board member either directly or through the email address and run your idea past them
